Are you a musician? Glaoch an Cheoil, a groundbreaking new music project to be televised on TG4, needs you to share your talent by volunteering to teach people who are eager to master a musical instrument. Imagine an Ireland where everyone in the country has the chance to learn to play a musical instrument, from the fiddle to the guitar, the drums or even the saxophone. This is the driving ambition of Glaoch An Cheoil, a brand new 8 part series for TG4. The project aims to unite unused or discarded musical instruments with people who have always wanted to learn to play, but never had the opportunity.

Welcome to the inaugural Stride for Spraoi. To celebrate 21 years of street arts and spectacle at Spraoi Festival 121 people will cross the Comeragh Mountains during the summer Solstice, on June 22nd. We’d love you to stride with us. The Stride for Spraoi will be a personal experience and challenge. You’ll stride to the highest point in the Comeraghs and encounter some of the most amazing views the Deise County has to offer. We anticipate a six-hour hike and you will be stretched physically, but you’ll also be a pioneer of the stride for Spraoi.
